Amanda Blackburn Death Mystery

The Indiana pastor whose pregnant wife was shot dead in a home invasion while she protected her one-year-old son has said she was the 'perfect mom'.

Amanda Blackburn, 28, was gunned down in her Indianapolis home on Tuesday by a suspected burglar while husband Davey was at a gym nearby.

In his first interview since her death, he said the family was 'confused' and 'angry' with what happened and claimed the police hadn't 'given him a ton of information'. However he later said the investigators had been 'good to us'.

He was speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos just hours after police revealed surveillance footage of a man they believe shot Amanda dead.

Amanda Blackburn’s husband is talking about his loss publicly for the first time after investigators say the young, pregnant mother was murdered.

Police say she was shot in the head at her home on northwest side a week ago. Husband and pastor Davey Blackburn was on “Good Morning America” Tuesday, saying his wife loved people and spent her entire life serving others.

“She gave hope to people who didn’t have hope, didn’t think they had a future — she just absolutely gave everything she had to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” said Davey Blackburn.

More than 2,000 people gathered on Sunday for the memorial service for a pastor's pregnant wife who who was shot in the head during a home invasion in Indianapolis last week.

Christian rock songs filled the air at Traders Point Church in Whitestown, Indiana, as funeral goers listened to stories about 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn and prayed for her husband, Davey Blackburn, and their one-year-old son Weston.

Police still continue to search for Blackburn's killer, who was captured on neighborhood surveillance footage after the shooting.

Four churches came together to host Blackburn's funeral, including NewSpring church, which the Blackburns attended in South Carolina before moving to Indiana to start their own house of worship, Resonate Church.

The suspect is described by police as a male between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and of slim-to-medium build, who was wearing light-colored pants and a two-toned hoodie.

Her husband said: 'I wish I could tell the world everything about her. I wish I had time. But I think what I would want the world to know is that she loved Jesus with all her heart.

'She loved people, she spent her life pouring her heart out to people. Served people. She loved the people who were unlovable and gave hope to people who didn't have hope or didn't think they had a future.'

He added: 'It’s really hard to sort through all of the emotions of what we’re feeling about all this. We’re confused. We don’t understand why. We’re angry. We’re not really sure what to do.

'Amanda didn’t have an enemy in the world. I can’t imagine any reason why. That’s why this has baffled us as much as anybody.

“Amanda didn’t have any enemy in the world,” Blackburn said.

“It was such an obscure photo and it’s extremely difficult to say that anybody recognized it — I mean our family, our neighborhood was so close and it was such a seemingly safe neighborhood, so this has devastated all the neighbors,” he said.

“We are trusting the investigators, they’ve been so good to us through this whole process. We trust that they are doing the best they can,” he said.

Police say the man in those photos was seen leaving a house down the street where a break-in occurred — it was the same morning Amanda was killed. IMPD is working with the FBI right now and police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

Davey Blackburn said one of the most difficult discussions has been with his young son, Weston.

“I think that’s probably one of the hardest things in this process, knowing that he’s not going to grow up with Amanda, because she was the perfect mom, I wish every mom in the world could learn from her, I wish every wife in the world could learn from her,” he said.

Holly Holm defends Ronda Rousey

Holly Holm produced a stunning upset to defeat Ronda Rousey on Sunday – and now she has urged the critics to stop trashing the former champion.

Rousey has taken flak from such important opinion-formers as Lady Gaga and Donald Trump for what they perveived as poor sportsmanship before the pair’s fight in Melbourne on Saturday. Rousey called Holm a “fake humility bitch” and refused to touch gloves with her, but Holm has risen above the chatter.

“I think people can be pretty brutal,” Holm told TMZ Sports. “And when you’re in the spot she’s in, there are people that are just going to jump ship, and I don’t ever wish for that.

“I do think that I come from a more humble spot,” Holm said. “[I never want] to say something and look like a fool.”

Prior to her loss, Rousey taunted Holm on Instagram by saying: “’Preacher’s daughter’ my ass – I see through your fake sweet act now – you’re getting your ass kicked tomorrow, and I’m really going to enjoy the beating I give you #andSTILL.”

Holm, 34, is the daughter of a Church of Christ pastor.

She told TMZ: “Ronda’s been a very dominant champ and she’s taken the sport to new levels. This fight wouldn’t’ve happened if she hadn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished, so I have a lot of respect for her.

“Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to give away any bit of my victory, so I’ll take it. I’ll take the win and I’ll take that I took it dominantly. That doesn’t mean that I wish any harm on her. That doesn’t mean that I wish any hate on her. I think people can be pretty brutal, and when you’re in the spot that she’s in, there are people who are just going to jump ship and I don’t ever wish for that,” she said.

However, Holm told TMZ Sports that although she may be coming from a more “humble spot,” the fight wouldn’t have been possible without Rousey. “Ronda’s been a very dominant champ and she’s taken the sport to new levels. This fight wouldn’t’ve happened if she hadn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished, so I have a lot of respect for her,” she said.

She also spoke about wanting people to leave the former champ alone.

Ronda Rousey did her best to hide her disappointment as she touched down in the United States following her humiliating defeat at the weekend.

The dethroned UFC world champion walked into LAX wearing sunglasses following her flight from Melbourne - using a pillow to cover her face.

She was likely hiding the injuries caused by a savage kick to her jaw from Holly Holm that sent her crashing to the canvas on Saturday night.

The stunning blow completed a huge MMA upset by the challenger - ending Rousey's undefeated record and reign as the one of the world's most feared female fighters.

Yes, everyone was predicting that undefeated MMA fighter Ronda Rousey would beat Holly Holm last weekend—but that’s not what happened. Instead Holm won the match with a well-placed kick to the head. Boom, Ronda was out. If you really knew who would win these matches ahead of time, why fight?

From a physics perspective, what can we figure out from this final kick to the head? Can we estimate the impact force from this hit? Well, yes—we can always estimate something, even if it requires some wild guesses. That’s never stopped me before; why should it stop me now?

Let me start with some video analysis. If you search for a while, you can find a shot of “the kick” seem from above. This view is nice, since you can see the whole horizontal motion of the kick as Holly whacks Ronda in the face. It’s not a perfect video (some frame rate issues), but it will do. Scaling the video based on the length of Holly’s leg, I get the following trajectory for her foot.

Jessica Jones Comeback with Marvel’

Jessica Jones is a terrible superhero by superhero industry standards. Her name is forgettable; she sounds like a girl from your third-grade class. She's just another brick — a term assigned to the plethora of superhumans with super strength as their primary power. It's easy to see why she isn't popular or why many people, even some comic book fans, were puzzled by Marvel and Netflix's decision to give the character her own TV show.

But even though Jessica Jones is a terrible superhero — something she would be the first to admit — that doesn't mean she's unworthy of her own show or that her story stinks.

Jones's origin story is actually one of the more daring arcs Marvel has published in the past decade. Wrapped around themes of abuse and the struggle of rehabilitation, it's one of the most painful tales put into the pages of a comic book (and now a live-action TV series). Ultimately, it isn't about portraying heroism as most people imagine it. It's about survival, which is its own type of heroism — perhaps the truest kind.

Speaking at AOL’s Build Series yesterday afternoon, producer Melissa Rosenberg revealed that plans for Jessica Jones—then still known as AKA Jessica Jones—have been afoot at Marvel since 2010. The company, looking to make its first step into television even before Agents of SHIELD was a twinkle in anyone’s eye, planned to launch Rosenberg’s first adaptation of Alias on the Disney-owned ABC network in 2011.

But, like several other planned TV series at that point (including a new Hulk show, an adaptation of Cloak and Dagger, and even a series based around Mockingbird), production stalled and Marvel mulled over attempting to try the project out ever year, until the Netflix deal was announced in 2013. Rosenberg seems pretty happy about the move after all these years:

n answer, she, with help from her perfectly cast star Krysten Ritter, rewrote the definition of superhuman.

Yes, Jessica Jones (Ritter) is a woman granted extraordinary strength and, apparently, the ability to fly. But it's her superhumanity, rather than her superpowers, that makes the show so riveting.

Owing more to Tony Soprano, Jane Tennison and "Orphan Black" than Iron Man, Black Widow and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Jessica Jones" is Marvel's first official foray into the Emmy-tempting world of prestige drama.

OK, occasionally Jessica will stop a car with her bare hands. But far more breathtaking is the show's examination of recovery: How does a woman truly survive a sexually, emotionally and physically abusive relationship?

With the liquid eyes, full mouth and deadpan delivery of a 1940s movie star, Ritter ("Don't Trust the B— in Apartment 23") slides into the role of hard-boiled private detective (crappy office, smart mouth, penchant for hard liquor) as easily as Jessica slides into her black leather jacket and jeans. Jessica is the quintessential tough girl with the heart of gold, prowling the mean streets of New York with an eye on a quick buck, but also the fallen sparrow.

There are cases to solve, but "Jessica Jones" is not a detective procedural, because Jessica Jones is not hard-boiled. She is scarred.

Nor is she technically a superhero. Though apparently involved in the touchstone of the Marvel Universe, the Battle of New York, Jessica mostly put away her powers after they were used for evil.

At some point, she fell under the spell of the mind-controlling psychopath known as Kilgrave (David Tennant), a man who can make anyone do anything just by looking at them. Why such a man has not tried to, say, control armies is not explained. Instead he is obsessed with Jessica, who, after being forced to commit one depraved act too many, managed to break free.

CHARLIE SHEEN HIV-positive Rumours

CHARLIE SHEEN has been widely praised today for confronting rumours that he is HIV-positive, but Heather Locklear's well-intended post has not been met with universal agreement.

The former Two And A Half Men actor told Matt Lauer on The Today Show that he was diagnosed four years ago and, after effective treatment, has an undetectable level of the virus in his bloodstream - the best possible position for a positive person to be in.
Various celebrities have come out in support of Sheen but Locklear's tribute on Instagram has been criticised for its tone.

My heart hurts. Prayers for Charlie and his family,” she captioned a photo of herself and Sheen on Instagram.

Locklear, 54, and Sheen co-starred on several seasons of “Spin City” (which ran from 1996 to 2002) and are longtime friends.

he 50-year-old sat down with Matt Lauer for a live interview on “Today” early Tuesday to confirm his HIV-positive status.

“It started with what I thought based on this series of cluster headaches and insane migraines and sweating the bed completely drenched, two, three nights in a row, that I was emergency hospitalized,” he explained.

“I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over. After a battery of tests and spinal taps and all that crap, they walked in the room and said, boom, here’s what’s going on. It’s a hard three letters to absorb, you know. It’s — it’s a turning point in one’s life.”

The actress reached out to the 50-year-old star on social media ahead of his announcement that he is HIV positive.

Sharing a photo of the pair together on Instagram, Locklear wrote: “My heart hurts. Prayers for Charlie and his family.”

Just a few hours later, her former Spin City co-star appeared on NBC’s Today Show to confirm speculation that he was suffering from HIV.

Speaking in an interview with Matt Lauer, he said: “I'm here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive."

Sheen went on to say that he was not “entirely sure” how he had contracted the disease and said that he had “not knowingly” passed it on to anyone.

He said: “I always led with condoms and honesty when it came to my condition.”

The star went on to tell Lauer that former wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller were aware of his diagnosis.

The Anger Management actor has faced overwhelming support on Twitter following the announcement.
